Now, for things to be even worse and more pointless there is that strange recruit system in place that is constantly giving us new, levelled up recruits. If not, then please add already mentioned SKIP button to it as well :) If so, then please make sure legendary loot is present in each and every mission on offer since by that time we don't really need Epic loot anymore. Problem extends to Veteran play after the campaign where for every single veteran mission we are forced to complete 3 side missions! In short - make it optional with nice little SKIP button somewhere on the screen :) This should be optional in a sense that we could go for all 3 in case we wish to add some mods and xp points to our characters but we should also be able to skip these missions if we wish. However, during the last act we are forced to complete 3 side missions when they pop up. praise them when they do good but call out their BS if you keep saying its perfect or praising them for not fixing bugs then we just get another bethesda. It looks good but even then the amount of bugs and glitches in the cinematics take me out of it.Ĭall it out for what it is so they can improve. i love gears but man the books and games lately have been below subpar. This game is not balanced or perfect to say its good is even a far stretch. oh and the weapon variants omfg come on its so bad. gears is about killing the boogy man while being roded out on steriods with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ chainsaw rifle. but why is it always going back to being the bad guy. not only that why is it that the coalitions games always make the cog the bad guy yes i get it. when you think mad scientist that makes monsters of monsters then you think he would make a ton of enemies. there is so little content and they dropped the ball on this games story. yes there is some customization but its practically non existance. i dont know what made them think 9 enemies was enough and some boss battles or some side missions and no charactor customization. it looks good but its boring and repetitive and if they come out with dlc or an expansion and its not on sale or for free then its not worth it.
this game is not even polished its buggier than a bethesda game. I want to switch over to Steam so I can DL the Gears Tactics Mods on the Nexus. I'm up to Veteran 16, playing on Game pass. XCOM's only grace is that mods can add new mission types and enemy types. God it feels good to play something as polished as this, tactics games are almost always AA Studios or below not AAA.īoring and repetitive is up to you. But if they provide DLC or and expansion pack, utilizing Gears of War's Horde mode Base building as a template, you could see a great base building concept. It has no base building because Gears is new to the systems. Gears just showed up and rocked the Tactics genre on it's first try.
